I see your point, hadn't really thought of it that way.. maybe I think it's just more accessible and therefore more susceptible to damage. Did you mean protected by the plinths that are fitted or by the cable insulation sheath? Cheers Oldskool

Hi All I have just bought a new cooker and got an electrician over to connect it up, only to be told that I need a 6mm circuit from the consumer unit as the cooker is a higher rating. No probs with that but I am unsure of his suggestions to get the cable to this location. The floor is solid...
