Honeywell V4073A - Can I remove motor and manually control?

When my previous switchmaster valve 'blew-up' I removed the electrical part and manually adjusted it daily until I could afford a new 3 way valve. Can this be done on the Honeywell??? I.e. remove the motor and just use it mechanically??

oh dear, someone please help, I thought that I had this problem sorted, but when I switched the heating on for the first time it won't work, I think it may be wired incorrectly as when heating comes on throiugh timer the pipe from the valve to the heating goes cold! Blue Switchmaster 3 port valves

I've taken off teh Switchmaster Valve, ordered a new Honeywell. Replaced fuses and voila all seems ok on face-value. BUT NO! It is all lit-up, timer works etc, but nothing is firing. Do I need to put a link-in somewhere now that the motor has been removed from the valve? It seems like...

    Blue Switchmaster 3 port valves

Ok, thank you, will give it a go tomorrow. There should be juice to the boiler, pump etc as the Timer is all connected through a junction box. I have just ordered a Honeywell V4073A so will swap it in a few days, subject to the flippin' Post Office strike! Can this be done by turning the...

    Blue Switchmaster 3 port valves

Thanks doitall, Is it just a case of disconnecting the wires and leaving the blue box in situ until I get a replacement Honeywell? Or do I remive completely and wind the valve manually to the water setting by hand?

    Blue Switchmaster 3 port valves

Can anyone advise whether it is possible to disconnect the Blue Box and still use the system, stuck on water or C/H? Until I get a new valve. Also, which is the most preferred replacement? Any advice would be gratefully received. Ollie9

Hello again! I've cleaned out the filters and checked the water supply and pressure.all ok. Switched on again...no change. Having read the book again this am, I reset the m/c using the BLACK dot which seemed to do the trick! The m/c started and filled and completed a No.8 wash cycle then...

The handbook/manual that comes with the M/C says nothing about flashing light as being a fault error code. Sorry

I'm not sure what three flashes means, I saw a previous post that said it can give a clue. There is no hot OR cold water coming into the machine. And if I try to put it on spin it just rotates the controller.

Hello. No, it will not fill at all. I have switched it off for half an hour as it has been going for a while, I will then count the flashes on the indicator? Will this give us more clues?
