    Sorry to show my ignorance but should the single incoming cable carrying the earth, live and neutral wires have the earth wire formed into a Y-shape and each end of the earth be secured in the earth terminals.     Twin Earthed double socket

    I recently bought a twin socket that had twin earth terminals. Am I right in thinking that the incoming earth wire is made into a Y-Shape in order that it will fit into the terminals? Any help or comments most welcome.
