@AGAS A British Gas engineer came over thismorning, and found out that the radiator and hot water temp gauge dials on the actual Boiler (which has become redundant due to the water temp being controlled on the Megaflow and the radiator temp being controlled separately) were causing a fault...
@Johnmdc You legend! I did as requested, and the green light appears!!!!!! Thank you so much.....(slightly paro that it may disappear whilst the switch is on to heat water!).....will keep you posted! Thanks again!
Might be worth mentioning that there were gas works on our road, they were installing tlbetter quality pipes to each household. But that was almost two weeks ago until they did ours and we were still recieving hot water

@muggles I switched the back light off, and to no avail the burner light did not appear on........so that rules that out....

@muggles We do usually have it on timer (one hour in the morning and one hour in the evening), its just recently we have been putting the button on manually as weve been away for a day or two.
Eager to get home so I can try this out ASAP.
I know this depends entirely on a households...
@muggles Thank you for the kind information and apologies for the lack of clarity on my part in providing details what the problem is. It was extremely chaotic and stressful due the lack of hot water, especially when you have a newborn in the household!

@muggles I don't know what a hot water cylinder is? Or where would u find it....apologies if I'm not a fountain of information, it's because I don't know a lot about it. I do have boiler cover with British Gas, but apparently it started working and he couldn't fathom why?
Hootimgowl, it is a combi boiler. We do have a mega flow boiler in the loft.
I'm not too sure if the green light (burner) appears for the duration you have he hot water or heating on....
