I see your point, the tray is a stone quadrant so cannot be rotated, and have had the tray too long to return it. I know there must be a way, i have been thinking about sitting the tray on a sheet of wood, raising it just the minimal height, but enough to meet the 1/8 of the depth of the beam...

Ahh i see, thanks for the correction! I presume there will be space to reinforce, do you mean the section below the bit that has been notched out? Can that just be reinforced with 2x4 for example? thanks osama

I was looking at them yes they are a possibility! but i have had an idea....<br> due to standards, the joists can only be notched 1/4 of their original depth. in my case this would be 45mm, this means that the pipe can travel through the joists it has to (only 2) in line with building regs. Now...

Hi guys, I am installing a stone base shower in my bathroom at the moment. But where the waste hole is, directly underneath is a beam for the floor. The shower is rather large and will look silly raised so is there any solutions to get around this? Also the waste pipe then needs to travel...
