I have had a good look to day, the belts look new but a 2 or 3 days ago i topped up the oil and some oil went on the engine, i have wiped the belt with rag and now giving it a run to Wiltshire about 60 miles, will take my AA card just in case. Thanks for all your help. Reg

I own a Perodue auto 2003 that has developed a screeching sound from the engine but only when it rains, the sound stops after a couple of miles. Do you think it will be the fan belt?
