I just called an engineer. He initially thought it was the fan but later on he discovered it was the gas valve. He said the part would cost anywhere between 80 or 180 pounds. He said if it was him he would replace the whole boiler as it's more than 10 years old. Which is the cheapest...

Does anyone think it's a Gas problem? The gas lever is inline with the pipe and my gas cooker is working fine. Does anyone have any idea as to what is causing the problem?

Thanks. My boiler doesn't have and electronic dispaly (except the clock) so there's no fault codes.

I checke the boiler again. The "Fan operation indicator" comes on for 1 or 2 seconds then the "burner lock out indicator" comes on. So the actual "flame indicator" does NOT come on at all. I don't know if this means the problem is at the Fan or Ignition stage. Any ideas what might be the...

It makes all the right noises. The pressure is at 1 on the guage (manual says it needs to be betwee 1 and 1.5)

The water pressure is where it should be. All the lights seem to come on in the right sequence but all of the sudden it shuts down and trips the switch. All this takes about 1 or 2 seconds. I switched the boiler for few hours but that didn't make a difference.
