Titan wet n dry vac blowing out dust

I too have one and suffer the same issue, in my opinion, one of the design flaws is the 90 degree bend which enters the paper bag, the suction is great, but when you suck up a small bit of grit, it ejects it at speed and often punches a hole through the side of the paper bag, then what follows...

    DeWalt Compound Mitre Saw

No, my 718 has the shadow line. Maybe it was an option on the 718, it was the feature which sold me that saw over the smaller one, all previous only had the laser option which looked a pain as if you knocked them, they had to be realigned.

    DeWalt Compound Mitre Saw

Ha, I have the same saw for a number of years, it's totally speed dial, frustrating as just after I purchased the 718 saw, they launched the 780 which has been around for a long time now. not sure what they changed on it.

    identify please

It looks like a DCF886N (Single speed) but it looks like part of the black rubber protector has come off the side of the gearbox housing, it also looks like the release collect on the chuck is broken? But equally could be a previous brushed generation? Pretty sure it's the newer 18v/20v slide...

Neco roller garage door turning them SMART

My garage door opener from 10+ years ago, auto reverses if it comes into contact with anything whilst closing, and there is a light beam at the floor level to prevent closing if it's blocked. So I'd expect most new installs to have similar or better. For automation, I bought a Garadget from...

Bosch EasyControl - Controller position / disabling

I think I should be able to answer this, as I have this setup on my new boiler install. (some pictures on the instagram link below if they can be viewed). I recall the CT200 recommends having a TRV in the same room as the thermostat. When you adjust the temperature on the central unit, it...

RGB GU10 smart bulbs and control?

I would have also liked the option to set a default when you powered up the bulb from the switch, so every time you turned them on, they started off at daylight white full power as an example. Be a right pain if you switched them off at 50% brightness and purple colour and then you turn them on...

RGB GU10 smart bulbs and control?

I tried these fairly low cost bulbs from TLC, The app was ok actually, does not require a smart hub which was a bonus, a big of a pig to sync them with the app, lots of turning on and off the switch, and changing wifi networks to the mini network created by the bulb. Up to 50 seperately...

Bosch PKS16 Mini Circular Saw - Cutting Cement Fibreboard

No I have not, hence I said I "think" the trade have some kind of technique.....I've got my own bathroom to do in the next 12 months, so I too have an interest in this process.

Bosch PKS16 Mini Circular Saw - Cutting Cement Fibreboard

I think most trades people who install fibre cement board would either have some technique to score and snap the board, or they would use a larger circular saw to cut it, as most of the blades available for this material, usually have 4/6 or 8 teeth and are a little larger. (google DeWalt...

New Front Door - how to?

I can only give you my experience when I was a first time homeowner, I thought to myself, fit the best, fit Everest.....My optimist guess at a budget was £1000 (15 years ago) for a pair of UPVC patio doors. The chap came around, measured up, claiming the gap was wider than average and hit me...

    Fluke T130 has display issues

Depending on when it was made, you could be due a free replacement under their recall scheme on this model anyway? https://www.fluke.com/en/support/safety-notices/tpt-recall-r0en

Aqualisa Smart Valve Under Bath Installation

I've been thinking about putting one of these smart bath fillers in, but I had a couple of concerns which I could not get a straight answer on from the rep of Aqualisa or Mira (I cannot recall which brand I was looking at, the other year). I'd asked the question if the water overflows via the...

    Bathroom pull cord repair problem

For £2 - £3 at Screwfix, I think I'd go and buy a new one. I think you will be fine travelling in lockdown for this.
