Would appreciate any opinions on the cause of this noise in a Vaillent Ecotec Plus 618 system boiler.
It’s very intermittent maybe occurring for about 1-2 minutes every so often (maybe every 30-60 mins when the heating is on).
Boiler about 4 years old; works perfectly otherwise; regularly...
Hi, I'd be grateful if anyone could help me identify an exterior door seal. It is white flexible plastic (pvc?) that is inserted into a routed groove. The seal is then a boxy flexible seal with two sections.
I need to replace my seals but I have a search but can't find the exact replacement...
Thanks for all this suggestions. Just to complete the loop, it did, in the end, turn out to be a faulty motorised valved. Sorry for the red herring in the story but I previously had these checked and they were thought to be OK because they were apparently not stuck - I assume it was an...
Thanks and sorry - we weren't aware of the boiler firing when this happens...but I've just turned timed both off and checked... Boiler is coming on intermittently (presume as stored HW cools slightly). Radiators not coming on (turned room stat right up). Pump remains on...
Will carry on...
Thanks. No - the boiler goes off, but the pump hums on constantly.
(PS I have corrected the above post to 'fully pumped' - assuming this means that the heating circuit inside the HW cistern is pumped - the HW pressure itself is gravity).
I'd be grateful for any thoughts on this one....
I have a problem that when the CH/HW are timed off, the pump keeps running. The humming noise drives us insane at night and we have resorted to switching the whole heating system off at the isolating switch.
However our Honeywell 7-day...
Thanks - I'll definitely check this again, but I've checked the timings of this and they are OK. The clock time is OK. It works perfectly when we monitor it during the day and when we get up in the night/early morning to check the problem, the boiler is on, pump going... but the LED 'on' light...
Hi,
Can anyone give me some pointers for this fault?
I have a traditional gas-fired CH/HW system with a gravity fed loft tank. Controlled by honeywell programmable thermostat and 7-day programmer.
A few months ago - sudden fault developed - the pump stayed on all the time even when...
Thanks - I thought it must be something to do with the valve. Had to shut down the boiler last night to get the damn thing off - but the circulating pump has kept going! If anyone has any advice on how to get this off, I'd be grateful.
I think the motorized valves (ACL Lifestyle 2-port) are...
I'd be grateful for some advice on this please...
Conventional CH/HW system about 10 years old, Ideal boiler, Honeywell Programmer, 2 2-way motorized valves in airing cupboard.
Recently we have found the boiler sometimes staying on after the programmer has switched both the HW and CH...
