See pic. Got an old BG heating control.
Is it possible to convert this to a standard socket?
I guess I need back box to go in there first off all (I need a back box to screw the front plate onto?)
then be able to determine which is the permanent live there.....(can see neutral and earth np)...
Always wondered as well.... For other things it seems some pros avoid working with these big companies. I guess these big companies will push the rate as low as they can.
Is this the case with carpet fitters too? i..e the really good ones have plenty of work anyway and can avoid the places like...
Apparently the service that Tapi sell is move furniture/tidy up afterwards/ hoover etc.... The guy would have known this, I had a conversation
with the store manager this morning confirmed its the case for ALL fittings and this guy has done loads of work for them.
He was in a massive rush -...
Any carpet fitters out there?
Had one from Tapi yesterday and pretty sure hes fed me a load of b@ll.
Told me he can't hoover up the bits because the carpet needs to settle for an hour or so? Sounds like he just couldn't be arsed.
Worse of all he's thrown bit of door edging (sharp bits) into...
Ah yes see what you mean. Drill hole in plasterboard. Insert plug and then drill though board into this hole....
I guess then need to consider that you're losing the thickness of the board. (in this case 18mm - but like you said screws are 95mm anyway)
I guess difficult to work out.....
Say the fittings are rated at 15kg each. Does that mean something flat on the wall? A shelf sticking out 30cm? A radiator sticking out 5 cm?
Out of interest, I see the screws/plus are 100 or 120mm. How long is the sleeve part?
(Just wonderering if I use these to screw into wood, then into plasterboard, I want the sleeve part to reach the block behind)
So, outside of wall - plasterboard - air gap - breeze block - already 30mm...
Worries me when its a TV on an arm....... Sheer weight must be quite large for a 15Kg TV.
I do like the metal sheath bit that it looks like the Corefix have. That makes sense....
