    Thanks for the replies. No the consumer unit is defiantly not 17th edition as it is an old one that still has fuse wire! So what needs bonding there is 3 x 15mm pipes at the bottom and 2 x 22mm at the top i think i will double check tomorrow. Thanks Steve

    Hi stem yes its between the kitchen ceiling and the bedroom floor void so you don't think its worth putting any insulation in it would be easier for lights cables and pipes etc,any more thoughts cheers Steve

    Cheers mate screwing it is i thought it was a no no on roofs but as ridge tile's are covering they would have to come off in anyway if there was a problem with final top row of tiles in the future,cheers mate Steve

    datarebal Thats what i think i'll have to do I still need the nib on the front of the tile to stop any driving rain,so i was going to cut the top of tile and re-drill 2 holes and nail then my ridge tiles fit over. Would you screw them instead of nailing? Cheers Steve
