would i be best to get another prt2? or would you recommend any other makes/models .... bearing in mind what existing wiring we currently have with with prt2

See when i turn the CH on .... the mpe322 light doesnt come on to say CH... i have to go to the prt2 to turn it down and then up ... the light on the mpe322 then comes on then the boiler kicks in and ch comes on .... any ideas?

so i assume then by doing this when the heating is turned on the thermostat would be bypassed and the ch come straight on? Within the prt2 the wires are as follows 2 3 4 5 Com H TL N Brown Yellow Red Blue sorry...

No we dont have a myson powerhead, mpe322 ! though im not sure what we have got! how do we bypass it? do yoi think its worth buying another prt2?

Hi, Just had a problem with a newer model of pcb replaced on our potterton suprima 40 .... HW works now as soon as you turn it on however now the only issue i have is when i turn the heating on ... the heating wont and doesnt come on until i turn the room thermostat down to reached...

Hi the amber light problem doesnt occur anymore.... its just when you turn the CH on you have to turn the thermostat on the wall down and then back up for it to kick in .... is this not a fault with the stat not switching?

hi just to let you know that the pcb board (not full kit) has been replaced and the problem 90% sorted.... when you turn the hot water on this comes on straight away! :) the only issue i have now is when i turn the heating on ... the heating wont and doesnt come on until i turn the room...

see an electrical fault would seem to make sense ... i.e. works sometimes doesn't other's.... but then again that fault could lie in the programmer or thermostat .... i have signed up for the e.on maintenance service on 19/12/7 - but they haven't even been round yet to check the system .. do...

yeah it is £156 .... but the problem were having could be big or small i.e. only £10 .... i have signed up for e.on maintenance contract but am still waiting for a first inspection! :( are there any check's i could do with a neon screwdriver or multimeter?

I havent seen any! i'm not a plumber ! lol Just from what i've seen here on the net and things that people have told me!

The pcb was replaced in dec 04' by a local plumber (from receipts) and charged £237 for it .... when i rang potterton this wasn't on their records so then it wouldnt be replaced for free..... so i'm in limbo big time really .... if i knew there was a problem with pcb i'd get it changed , but...

doh :( I'm in the sh1t really arent i ! it just all seems to be pointing towards another faulty pcb borad or temperature sensor in my eyes, its just that the pcb has been replaced before and i have never heard of anyone who's had problems with the new board...
