Thanks guys, we'd already pva'd the area but I'm going to do a second coat for the rest. Doesn't look like the other will be a problem but its still drying at the moment, so fingers crossed theres no hollow sound.
Thanks again,
Peter
Hi,
I'm using Thistle Bonding coat to put on to breeze block prior to skimming. As the wall isn't even its going on in places at up to 15mm. But whats happenig all over is cracking like mud on a hot day.
Is this normal or have I put it on too thickly? The packaging says 11mm max. Any...
ahh i thought so, but thought I would check first.
Thanks though,
Adam
p.s. You dont know any good guides to putting up plasterboard with adhesive do you?
Hi
Just removed a load of old crumbling plaster from a breezeblock wall. We were wondering if you could put a browning coat straight on to breezeblock to get a good enough finish to not need plastering, i.e just paint or wallpaper.
Thanks,
Peter
Hi
Not sure how silly a question this is but we have just pulled the old plaster on an old wall. We need to replace this, can we use plasterboard adhesive to fix the panels direct to the breeze block with out using studs?
Thanks,
Peter
