Assume junction box is for 240v? can I not run the 240v direct to the 240v input to the transformer without a junction box?

Had a B&Q CLM210SMS compount Mitre saw and it worked OK for a couple of years
The first time it stalled (when something got stuck between the guard and the blade) it mangles the spline gear on the end of the motor shaft
Asked Performance Power Pro and others but no spares

Am putting square guttering around a garage flat roof (with a small angle at the apex)
My question is what slope do I install the gettering at to make sure it drains into the water butt? - is there any reccomendations or standards?

room temperature 10-12 kohms
heated up 3-4 kohms
Will this give me a reliable test?

Have tried everything to get the system clean - last year I bottomed the lot! took all the radiators off one at a time and flushed them out with everything I could get, even the power washer (boy that shifted some stuff) and Halstead recommended a rubber mallet...
