HI, no the boiler does not fire up.

HI, i replaced the centre plastic mode selector knob because the shaft that turns the small switch on the pcb was broken. As far as i'm aware these plastic knobs are a common fault. There is no damage to the pcb ,just the plastic shaft of the plastic knob.
