Hi, I hadnt considered leaving the socket attached is this a viable option to leave it attached and in the ceiling space?

Its below where the bathroom is, iwas just going to wrap once it was connected in the terminal box then leave it as so in the ceiling space, can I just leave the wall box loose in the ceiling space or do I have to fix it to a joist? thanks for the speedy reply
