I have left space where the light wires from the rooms bellow are available to use if I could not use the smoke detector wires.Just trying to make use of the redundant wires instead of using a spur on a light.I will have look at quick wire connections cheers

I have installed new battery powers interlinking smoke alarms at home and no longer need my hard mains wired ones.I was just going to remove them and make the wires safe however I have just floored my loft and was wondering if I could use the hard wired smoke detector wiring to power my lighting...
