    overflow connector pipe leaks/comes loose

Thanks - I've tried it again just now and will see if it leaks again. Otherwise I guess I'll be swapping it out for something a bit better.

    overflow connector pipe leaks/comes loose

Just installed a new bath and when I drain the bath the overflow connector pipe slightly leaks. Having then tried to tight it, the connector pipe came loose. I've tried reconnecting it a few times and it always seems to come loose or isnt tight enough to stop leaking. There's a couple of parts...

Replacing floorboards - do I need a DPM or similar?

The battens aren't fixed to the floor, no. I assume that is also to allow movement? So I just need another slip sheet type material if anything at all is needed? Edit: I read a bit more and they appear to be put in at the time the concrete is drying out, so maybe nothing required now?

When I have removed the battens there was a thin layer of material that felt like paper lying on top of the concrete. On top of this...

The electrical wires run behind the skirting board so I thought I'd just go straight across. Nice idea though. Would it make things difficult it I want to put (electrical/network) sockets at the same level later on if the plasterboard has been cut and repaired? I probably need to run...

running coax in dot and dab wall

I wish to extend the coaxial cable in my wall from current to new locatoin halfway along the wall. I purchased a gekko gripper (magnet pulling type device) to try and trace a route and although I made it from one end to the other it would get stuck whenever I tried to pull the cable through...
