    New shed condensation

Did you do a felt roof on the new one? Since the very cold snap the felt on mine has wrinkled, i guess because Expansion of the osb roof and no elasticity in the felt, so it hasn't shrunk back flat

    New shed condensation

No insulation or heating and there's a good ventilation around the roof. I'm gonna remove the paint over the winter into the old shed as that'll be coming down in the spring so it don't matter if it gets wet

    New shed condensation

Yeah, I'm thinking where this shed is in the shade, whereas the last one was in full sun, could possibly explain this happening to such an extent as to be noticeable now and not before

    New shed condensation

Why's that then? Next door is a painter, he stores all his paint in the shed.

    New shed condensation

The old shed is in the sun whereas the position of this one means the south facing wall is hidden from the sun behind next doors fence and the pent roof if sloping away from the low sun, so I can believe this shed is colder than the previous. May be I take all the paints out and get them in the...

    New shed condensation

I've just built a timber shed from scratch, to replace an old one that was rotting at the bottom, but now it's all finished I'm getting condensation on anything that has liquid in: paint pots, gas cylinders, weed killer, literally everything. It wasn't like this in the old shed. Can't work it...

    Misdiagnosis or Unreasonable Care?

Thing is on advice from the forum here I took the hairdryer to it myself and the PCB is fine now, no clicking, no problems, fires up. Which is kind of why I'm aggreived as I've got someone coming now to fit a new boiler as that is what I was advised I needed by this bloke!

    Misdiagnosis or Unreasonable Care?

...And my final question comes, I have a £335 bill that is outstanding to the original fitter, I haven't settled it yet, do I contest it?

    Misdiagnosis or Unreasonable Care?

You've got the wrong end of the stick entirely DP. By my comment "I did have a quick look on eBay, that new part is almost half the price on there than it was at City Plumbing" I wasn't suggesting at all that he should have supplied the part from eBay or considered supplying anything other than...

    Misdiagnosis or Unreasonable Care?

When he drained the boiler with PRV it started ringing bells. Naturally now it won't close properly on the assumtion that there's a teeny bit of debris in it, it's just dripping from the overflow. But nevermind new boiler tomorrow.

    Misdiagnosis or Unreasonable Care?

Hey I'm getting a new boiler, and it's gonna have thermostat that we can control from the phone. We've never had a thermostat ever in this house so it's going to be something beautiful :-) (Not entirely sure what difference a thermostat will do, if it's cold we put the heating on, if not we turn...

    Misdiagnosis or Unreasonable Care?

Bodd - Boiler is over 15 years Dilalio - Going for Vaillant EcoFit 830 pure I'm not going to cancel the new boiler fitting because I think that would be a c***tish thing to do to the new fitter. I don't like messing people about. I'm going to justify it by saying to myself 'well it was time the...

    Misdiagnosis or Unreasonable Care?

Without wanting to divert the conversation away from the points in question, how would you guys feel if someone cancelled you when you'd ordered a new boiler and thermostat for them? I've already booked another engineer to replace the boiler. I would feel pretty bad if I had to cancel, what do...

    Misdiagnosis or Unreasonable Care?

Aprreciate the cables are strong enough to hold the panel, thanks. Are you saying the PCB could have got wet when he fitted the new diverter because he didn't remove the pcb? That would make sense.
