    Those spikes are worn down so I’ll replace with stronger and larger ones. I like the idea of something like a trellis even if weak -might looker nicer than bits of wood drilled onto the gate!

    I have the main Consumer Unit with RCD protection and the the shower MCB is separate as there weren't any spare blocks. Yes it is a plug-in type of fuse.

    Having drawn and stared at the current wiring for days ( :shock: ) I think that actually makes sense to me :) It doesn't have the 3 amp fuse anywhere so that will be my first port of call! Thank you guys for taking the time to give advice I really appreciate it.
