    Hotpoint Tumble TDWSF83B fault

The wiring connectors are under the drum on the inside of the motor position. All three pink wires are identical, and the stubs show in the lower three holes in the connector. (sorry for the poor quality pics)

    Hotpoint Tumble TDWSF83B fault

What I have realized is that one of the two connectors has three thin pink wires, two of which are broken. I cannot identify their source location so wondered what sort of result a wrong conection may result in. The guy at Hotpoint was not very forthcoming when I spoke of wiring diagrams.

    Hotpoint Tumble TDWSF83B fault

I have acquired this tumble with a fault which I have sorted, just lack of maintenance, but I have now found that the small wires at the tiny connectors to the motor are broken. Hotpoint have stated there is nothing they can do, obviously offering an engineers visit, there appear no spares...

Soft dripping noise within wall after opening hot water

To me, it sounds like expansion; looking at the supply, is there a chance of assessing whether one pipe is fitted or it may be jointed? Is it a cavity wall because if it's not, then one would not hear dripping, but perhaps get a damp test of the wall done. If it was not expansion, then I'd...

No Ground Floor Lights, old style wire fuse is good

Thank you. I will be able to have another look in the morning. As I said, it's a very old fuse box and I'm sure, any professional, would recommend a new box etc.. I will have to start to look for local electricians.

No Ground Floor Lights, old style wire fuse is good

Thanks for the reply, the tube was not working, then I changed the starter, with no effect. So I checked the wire fuse, thought it looked a bit poor, so changed the wire. No lights at all on the ground floor, and I had not checked other lights before attending to the tube. I've now checked the...

No Ground Floor Lights, old style wire fuse is good

Hi All, please bear with me. The house has an old style fusebox, the fuses being the wire type. Fluorescent tube in kitchen wasn't working, checked 5amp fuse, and decided to rewire it anyway. No lights at all on ground floor, all other circuits working okay. Am going back now to check the fuse...

Creda T620CW Condenser Tumble, heating problem

Hi All, I acquired this unit as the owner was dumping it due to it not drying the clothes. Yes, all of it was stuffed with lint and debris, so cleared all the filters and door ducting, then, using a net curtain wire, totally cleared the condenser unit. At that point both elements worked. Still...

Been blamed for scratched window, how do i handle this?

My final suggestion to you is to tell him that you have never had any complaints in the past, you don't consider, in your professional opinion, that you could have created the damage and he can go to the Police. I do realize it's very easy to make a comment like that when it's not me involved...
