Thanks terry plumb got there in end Yeh I marked the switch live myself before disconnecting old fitting and terminated the loop line as you can see and taped up.. But after taking a breather I I connected switch live to loop Terminated the brown and taped up.. Can't remember what I connected...

I'm sorted now.. I didn't connect the switch live to the loop. Was this needed as this is the last light on the loop and can be switched from upstairs and down as the one at the bottom of landing I terminated the loop line and this can only be switched from one place
