Afternoon
Ideally, I'm looking for a 3/4 lens wifi/lan camera (similar to the one below) but without a subscription.
The one's of Flea-bay all seem to require a subscription to use the useful features of the camera.
Has anyone managed to get one from Flea-bay, etc that is truly subscription...
Yes, it's not a doorbell. I'm in 2 times. I would prefer the 3 lens camera, as I already have a non-camera doorbell.
Yes, you would need to a ladder, but I would never be changing the SD card during it's normal life.
Morning
I'm looking for a video doorbell.
I don't want to pay a monthly subscription.
Must be powered and not battery operated.
Motion detection and person tracking would be a nice features
Your thoughts and experiences would be appreciated.
Thanks.
"The green arrowed knob is a ' snib ' , hold the handle down, then turn it , and it should keep the latch fully retracted."
It does. And then the door closes easily as it should.
"Likely just a spring loaded plunger like on a sliding patio door"
That sounds about right. I can press the red plunger in, and sometimes it stays pressed in long enough for me to quickly shut the door, and then the door seems to close ok. Can the plunger be adjusted in and out, it seems like it...
The hinged front front seems difficult to close.
I suspect that little button where the red arrow is.
What is the purpose of this button, and can it be adjusted?
The button (red arrow) seems to line up with the little knob (green arrow) so I assume they are connected some how.
Thanks
This setup will always collect water somewhere. Insulation will help but it won't eliminate the problem. Ideally, you need the exhaust vent to be in a gable end wall. Can you do that?
Patching repairs is one option.
Would still like the option of using the super silicon, but no one seems to sell it in the UK.
Or have I missed something?
Most probably another bodged job where the ducts are not connected to anything.
Switch your fan on and see if you can feel any air coming out of there.
As others have said, I would put some sort of cover on there to prevent the rain from getting in.
Yes. If you know where the hole/leak is, then it's an easy repair.
The problem occurs if you have a very small leak and you can't locate the point where the water is getting in.
