Potterton locking out (hot water circuit only)

Thanks, any way to be sure? Going to swap out the thermostat today on the cylinder as I think it’s suspect...

Potterton locking out (hot water circuit only)

Morning All, I've a Potterton Suprima 60 that's locking out when heating the hot water cylinder only. It tends to cycle on again (once cooled?) with some minor clucks and hissing inside boiler, before shutting down again. Pump's less than a year old and if I turn the thermostat on the HW...

    Soil Pipe Question

Thanks, I see how that can work. I assume that the ‘socket’ fits over the pre-existing soil pipe?

    Soil Pipe Question

If I leave it as is the pan will be too close to the floor. The frame has adjustable legs for this reason. As I raise the frame as will the 'red section'. So, the 90 degree bend will not then align with the pre-existing waste, so was hoping for a neat solution to drop it down. Cheers

    Soil Pipe Question

Thanks for the reply, let me try again, issue is not with the pan end, it the other end... The 'red' (black 90mm) pipe is a 90 degree pipe supplied with the kit (with a red cap). I need to go up a little more with the frame so I need to drop down by 40mm into the pre-existing waste (white) pipe.

    Soil Pipe Question

Hi, Installing a Grohe Concealed Cystern / Frame (Rapisd SL) I've a 90 degree bend after the pan and I need to drop say 40mm. Ideally need to use the 90 soil pipe that came with it as it clips in nicely for when you fit the pan later on. What would be the best solution for this as the...

What Lintel? UPDATE: Now how to install Lintel.....?

Arrhh, so you think you have things sorted then realise that there is only two courses of brick above the door (and proposed new door). Am I right in thinking that the wood of the trusses is OK to sit on the lintel? But I can't fathom how I am going to get the lintel in there as the...

What Lintel? UPDATE: Now how to install Lintel.....?

Thought I would post back my findings after speaking with Catnic directly. They calculated the weight of the roof at that point as just over 10 kN. So that Lintel is fine, also confirmed that it's OK to drill into the lintel to support the doors, as long as the hole is painted after to stop...

What Lintel? UPDATE: Now how to install Lintel.....?

Cheers Ronny, note that you are a Structural Engineer, I'm sure they can advise when I go to get the lintel but I assume that lintel I suggested is up to the task in your opinion? Is there any rule of thumb in weight terms (kN) for a pitched garage roof?

What Lintel? UPDATE: Now how to install Lintel.....?

I do not think that is an option, they are top hung. Just called them and they said it's fine to drill into the lintel. I still would like people's thoughts on this.

What Lintel? UPDATE: Now how to install Lintel.....?

I am in the process of converting my garage, had building control round and mentioned the size door that I want to put in the rear (1900mm) simply said use the same lintel you have just longer (currently a approx 900 door their currently. Garage is attached to the house with its own pitched...
