Hi, I am repointing a gable end roof verge. When I removed the old mortar (sand and cement), the gap between the wall & roof tiles is about 3-4 inches. This is a stone cottage and I understand that they need to be pointed with lime mortar. Would this be ok to fill this area/gap with lime...
