I have an R reg Astra 1.7D with Isuzu engine. it seems to have a leaking injector as it looks like there is fuel bubbling at the base of the injector and deseil is dripping when the engine is running. Does this sound like job for a DIY begginner or does it have to go into a garage for repair...

OK guys. i bought the thermocouple and had someone install it for me as the gas had to me disconnected to get at it. now the pilot light stays on and we are very cosy. Thanks

Thanks guys. i have not removed the bottom grill so will look at that tomorrow. if it means undoing any gas coupling i will just wait for an engineer. I tried Homeserve but got nowhere. i shall try corgi tomorrow. Thanks again for all your input.

Thanks Corgiman I have already tried pulling the burner assembly out. i loosened off 2 wing nuts, which were not that tight and it moved forward quite easily, unfortunatley no far enough. i am beggining to think it was installed without maintenance in mind. So i will probably take your...

Can anyone tell me how to stop my toilet continuosly flushing? now and again when i flush the loo the water just keeps coming, i have to flush it several times before it stops, it is driving my wife mental which of course means i am going crazy.
