What I mean is that its a cold surface, where moisture in the air can condense like a cold window. The bottom section with the doors sometimes has water droplets running down the back wall in cold weather. The chimney is blocked off. Washing is dried in a different room with a dehumidifier.
I live in a 1937 bungalow and am finding cold areas with mold spots developing. In particular, the press in the living room wall is deep and I guess the back of it is against the outer layer of bricks of the house. So there is no insulation and it gets very cold attracting moisture. Any ideas...
