    hi....yes sorry didthathurt....just trying to clirify what i need to have done...i thiink it would be easier to connect at the spur as its proving to be quite difficult to run the cables back into the ceiling (as mentioned in my earlier post)...as the ceiling has now been boarded and plastered up...

    hi all....another query....does the boiler in a kitchen need to be supplementary bonded?? currently not....power is from a fused spur from a nearby socket.... All the pipes are bonded together but not connected to anything...should these be connected to the fcu earth???? thanks

    earth clamp visiblity????

    one more thing.... the boiler (that is in the kitchen, next door to shower room) hase got 4 copper pipes bonded together but not connected to anything else..this was done by the plumber..and said it was a corgi regulation....shouldnt these also be connected to the supply of the boiler....

    i dont think any allowances have been made....is it better if i cut the ties and insulation tape off and clip where possible......also is this a common overlooked problem.....because i,m sure ive seen it done like that in a mates brand new flat...

    hi all....i have just noticed that the cables that are running in the loft (for lights, sockets and shower) are not clipped to any battens or anything else..except in corners.... they are just bundled together with insulation tape or cable ties at a distance of about 18" apart..there are holes...

    fire hoods???

    thanks guys....ive been told that for certain installations fire hoods are required by regs.....just double checking.. also is at allowed to seal any gaps around the lights (to stop draft) with sealer or decorators caulk?
