I have got a problem with siphonage to my bath when emptying the wash basin. This problem started after adding further items to the waste system. Will installing an anti siphon trap to the sink stop the problem or will an anti siphon trap to the bath be also needed.
Thanks for answers in...
I have just had some building alteration work carried out in which one 6 foot rad was replaced with two 3 foot rads where a new wall has been built plus an extra 2 foot rad and pipework has been installed about 4 meters away.
The first 3 foot rad on the run is hot the second 3 foot rad is...
Found out the problem. The live and neutral were coupled the wrong way round on the consumer unit and have now been rectified.Tube no longer glows when turned off.
Thanks to all for help and suggestions given. :D
Hopefully I will find out tomorrow as an electrician is calling in on other business and he has kindly said that he will put a tester on the cables.

I have even tried changing the appliance with one...
I can get into the loft and find the junction box and take a photo of the wiring, will it need testing with the light switch on and off with the neon?
Thanks to all for responses.
With the fuseboard and the wall switch ON the screwdriver glowed on the black wire but not on the red wire and with the fuseboard on and the wall switch OFF the screwdriver glowed on the black wire AND on the red wire.
Now I am confused.
Hope that info helps.
Photos as requested the switch at the bottom of the photo is the one to the tube, the other switch is to an external light that is now disconnected with the end of the cable terminated with blocks.
Thanks for all responses.
You are right in your assumption that I used a testing screwdriver to test for current/voltage, that was done by touching the cable when the circuit was turned off at the consumer unit, but to my surprise the black wire was still showing live.
The glowing in the 5ft tube has only become...
