Just an update and thanks for everybody’s reply’s. I ended up with an adjustable spanner lodged between sink and brass nut with the Mrs turning the tap above . Luckily enough it eventually came loose . The new taps have a different fitting . It’s like a large 3/4 washer instead of a large nut...

I’m guessing the taps were on first then sink fixed down in place after.?

Yep thought of that but not sure of size . Possibly like you’ve said pass the tail ends through and it could work.

Hi , I’m trying to remove this mono block set of taps but struggling to find the right tool to remove the large brass nut . I’m not sure what size it is and some of the tools I’ve looked at seem too big to do the job. I’ve tried a large adjustable but can not get any turn on it at all. Thanks

There’s a wooden joist above the opening , I’ve measured the height on both sides and there’s 36 mm difference from one side to the other . Seems a big gap .

Tried convincing me that’s the way it should be . There now looking for work somewhere else…I’ve told them to pack there stuff up…… Apparently it’s fine to screw doors up-to roof joists.

My argument as well, I know nothing about building… so I guess it was going to be a quick in out make a quick buck never to be seen again job. So when doors start to not open properly , cracks in plaster appear etc etc . Hey Mr builder . Sorry not available
