no not quite the same as it looks like a coupler with a nut both ends

no there is no washer on the tap connector, it is a brass connector and i didn`t notice a washer on the old tap and the hot tap doesn`t have a washer and that doesn`t leak

I have changed my kichen taps for new ones, everthing is ok except for a leak from the nut joining the bottom of the tap to the supply. I have tried to tighten it up and have put plummers tape on the tap thread but still no joy.....any ideas?
