Qualified myself but had outside Company installed these units etc.Was concerned about that no certificate issued and no use of RCDS etc.Slight concern about the area where the units are ....Need to get my 17th edition which covers more information on rcds etc and special locations .

Installation is in a retail store's alterations room where there is steam irons etc .The work has been carried out but have already noticed that old colour SWA used .Also a steam bed needs to installed which came with 2x 16a splash proof plugs ,so would you suggest a rcd interlocked socket x 2...

Also would this area come under special locations at all .

In a room where alterations take place ,2x new presses and iron units need to be installed .Do both units need a 3 phase rcd ?
