    Dyson battery vac

Problem solved. Not surprisingly, a new battery is all it needed. Thanks for the suggestions.

    Dyson battery vac

Got to agree with you. Will buy a replacement and give it a go. I find these days, one of the problems with everything being battery operated, when it stops, although the most logical conclusion is battery, one does tend to think that the device is faulty.

    Dyson battery vac

It is the original supplied Dyson charger and is giving around 18V+ However, it does say on the back 24.38A ...348mA and 16.75V ... 348mA Not sure what that means? As mentioned above, when checking the battery, the meter shows around 17V for a nano second then goes to zero. The trigger...

    Dyson battery vac

What ho one and all, Have a Dyson DC34 handheld vac with a DC31 battery. The current battery is a Chinese finest Li-ion and has been good for a couple of years. Today, when plugged into the main, the charge light flashes once and that is it. I have removed the battery and the only multimeter...

Hot water temperature boost; Viotdens 200

Thanks. However, I am familiar with the tap icon to change the HW set temp. But that changes it as a new default and only from when the set time come on. I want to give it (for example) a one hour boost, to fire up the boiler now and not to set a new default. I do have an immersion heater...

Hot water temperature boost; Viotdens 200

You are right about the title tyro, it should be Vitodens; it is Viessmann boiler. And my wife is not a native speaker; if I cannot figure out the instructions, there is no way she will be able to do so.

Hot water temperature boost; Viotdens 200

What ho one and all, My wife this afternoon, decided she would like to have a hot bath. Unfortunately the water was not terribly hot and I got some flak for not knowing how to boost the temp on a one-off basis. I have searched the instruction book but cannot find anything as useful as 'Hot...

    MR16/GU5.3 12v LED

Thanks, did try Google (of course) but most site mention the need for an LED driver. However, took the advice from above and bought a somewhat expensive (£6.87) LED from Screwfix, 60 degree bean angle and equivalent 40w. Plugged it in and it works, so will stay with that. Thanks for the...

    MR16/GU5.3 12v LED

Good point and don't know. However, Hormann do not have a UK HQ; they only supply dealers who in turn, install the garage doors. I did call the local dealer and their response was to want to send someone around to assess what was needed and replace the bulb, for which they would invoice me...

    MR16/GU5.3 12v LED

Ho Ho Ho one and all, Getting my knickers is a twist regarding replacing a garage light. I have a Hormann garage door, operated by a remote transmitter. When the door opens or closes, an MR16/GU5.3 12v 35w halogen light fires up for a default time of around 3 minutes. Unfortunately, it has...

    Garage door light

Apologies regarding difficulty in find them. Yes, there are plenty but I only want one, not packs of four, five or six. And where there is one listed, it does seem to be be rather expensive when compared with the packs of six. Since the door is mains operated, I guess it is AC. But mu...

    Garage door light

Ho Ho Ho one and all, I have a Hormann garage door operator that when it opens / closes activates a 12v MR16 halogen spot light for a few minutes. The bulb has now stopped working and I would like to replace it with a wider beam angle LED. Having difficulty finding a 12v MR16 LED but there...

Where is the drainage pipe outlet?

It's a job I need to investigate but scrambling around a tangle of branches and bramble in wet woodland, albeit only a few meters from my fence, does not get my motivation fired up!!!

Where is the drainage pipe outlet?

Don't have a compressor but a leaf blower sounds hopeful. Again, thanks for the various suggestions.

Where is the drainage pipe outlet?

Sound, interesting thought. Could plug the hose of my wet/dry vac into the pipe and hopefully, the motor would be audible in the woodland. It did occur to me, perhaps a plumbers smoke bomb in the wet/dry vac with the hose reversed to blow mode. May be the smoke would appear at the woodland end?
