    They are stone tiles, so pretty heavy. The pointed end of the slate hooks, does that need to go into a timber or is it enough just to wedge it between two existing stone tiles where there's no timber behind?

    I have a stone roof and a couple of the stones have slipped, which I need to repair. Found a YouTube video of someone doing the same repair and he used lead strips to hook around the bottom of the slipped stones. Is this still the best practice? If so, what thickness and width of lead strips...

    Yeah, no chimney breast in the attic room. Not exactly sure what a purlin is but there's a couple of beams as you can see in this photo.
