Baxi Duotec HE 33 CH cycling on off

Good point, didn’t think of that. Maybe the diverter valve is slightly open causing reduced flow in the CH system when on CH mode, would explain my problem, I will look into that in the morning. Cheers Mate

Baxi Duotec HE 33 CH cycling on off

Hi John, thanks for the reply, don’t think I can adjust the heating output on this boiler, just the water temp set point. I had all the trv’s open in a cold house and still does the same so suspecting now to be a circulation issue caused by the pump or blocked/gassed up heat exchanger. Had the...

Baxi Duotec HE 33 CH cycling on off

Hi Wonder if anyone can help? I’m having a problem with my combi boiler, the CH keeps cycling on/off on a three minute cycle instead of modulating at the set temperature. It will fire up and ramp up to max fire before dropping back again but then overshoots the set temperature (65degC) and...

Boiler Stove / Thermal store system design

Thanks for the info Ryder, most informative. It’s given me some ideas on how to set up the thermostats etc but was looking more to have a thermal storage system where heat from the stove could be stored and then used when the stove wasn’t lit. Cheers

Boiler Stove / Thermal store system design

Ok, I’ll put the ch pipes further down the cylinder. Do you mean pump the water straight to the rads without a three way valve? cheers

Boiler Stove / Thermal store system design

Yes radiators and hot water, didn’t show it in the drawing tho. I’m planning to get a cylinder with a coil in it for the hot water

Boiler Stove / Thermal store system design

The valve on the stove circ pump is to control the temperature of the water being supplied to the stove as I read somewhere this will improve efficiency. The valve on the right of the diagram is to control the temperature of the water in the radiator circuit. You are right in that it’ll work...

I’ll change the plans and reroute this pipe then, thanks for the advice

Boiler Stove / Thermal store system design

I could route the return pipe under the downstairs floorboards, it would mean a bit more work lifting more floorboards tho. Do you think this would help?

Boiler Stove / Thermal store system design

Thanks for the reply muggles. Unfortunately I can’t position the stove or the boiler anywhere else so have to try a workaround. The pump should circulate the water through the store and stove normally but if there is an issue with the pump or there’s a power cut then gravity circulation...

Boiler Stove / Thermal store system design

Hi,I’m planning on installing a boiler stove and thermal store and would be chuffed if someone in the know could take a look at my design and tell me if it’s feasible/safe/legal. It’s a bit of an awkward system because the thermal store has to be on the same level as the stove and the pipe work...
