Swapping Existing Wireless Thermostat Receiver for Hive Receiver on Combi Boiler

Using the existing color scheme of the wires in my first photo, should it be: Black wire to N on Hive back plate Brown wire to L on Hive back plate Grey wire to Com 1 on Hive back plate Yellow/Green wire to Com 3 on Hive back plate So essentially: N on BDR91 to N on Hive L1 on BDR91 to L on...

Swapping Existing Wireless Thermostat Receiver for Hive Receiver on Combi Boiler

Should be a simple question hopefully. I want to swap my existing Honeywell BDR91 wireless thermostat receiver on my combi boiler for the Hive receiver. Existing receiver color scheme: New Hive receiver: All I want to know is which terminals to connect each of the 4 wires to in the Hive...

    Which Mitre Saw?

Just had a good look around my saw and have seemingly fixed everything. Slack in the detents - there is a large nut and bolt in the middle of the saws table, this was loose causing "up and down" slack which was not allowing the mitre angle preset mechanism to seat properly causing slack there...

Possibly a stupid question (screw sizes)

Right so as in my previous post then where I measured eveything it seems that it's just DeWalt being extremely lazy then and rebranding their No.10 for use as a No.12, even though it won't actually work!

Possibly a stupid question (screw sizes)

    Also I've just measured all the bits in the DeWalt set and I'm actually quite annoyed with them now: No.6 = 2.4mm drill + 9.5mm countersink No.8 = 2.8 drill + 9.5mm countersink No.10 = 3.2mm drill + 9.5mm countersink No.12 = 3.2mm drill + 9.5mm countersink So looking at that both...

Possibly a stupid question (screw sizes)

Wow so it seems everything is pretty messed up then. Just had a closer look at the box for the screws I bought and all it says is: 12 x 2 1/2 so is this "No12" or "12 Gauge" or are they both just the same thing? And if they are both just the same thing how come DeWalt are so far off the...

Possibly a stupid question (screw sizes)

So I bought a box of 12 gauge wood screws, then bought a Dewalt Flip Drive set. The flip drive set States it can countersink, pilot and drive No12 screws but the screw head diameter on my 12ga screws is 11.5mm and the countersink bit in the Dewalt set is only 9.5mm, also the pilot is 3.2mm which...

    Which Mitre Saw?

Thanks I did check the reviews and those videos actually but figured I'd just mend and slack I found. Mine doesn't have as much as in those videos but it's still enough to annoy me. Will have a close look and also have a look at adjusting the laser.

Where to buy wood at reasonable prices?

Went with Wickes in the end and they actually charged me £120 for what I thought was £153's worth of stuff, even though I didnt hit the price break quantities 👍

    Which Mitre Saw?

So far quite impressed, but: The saw arrived with sawdust on it and grubby marks around the blade housing, FFX assure me it was new so offered to either replace if or refund me £15. I took the £15. The preset mitre locks are a little sloppy, not a lot but still not quite bang on so you...

Where to buy wood at reasonable prices?

I called the two timber yards yesterday and both were actually more expensive than Wickes for the exact same materials!
