Thanks. If we would be happy to have the thermostat powered by USB / mains instead of being in place of the old wired thermostat, would they have been able to put the heatlink in place of my existing programmer ?

So we had the guys from Currys Knowhow (I know ! but we had a giftcard so it wasn't costing us anything)) come round to fit this. After an hour of doing whatever they were trying to do, they informed me that they couldn't fit the nest system because the wiring centre in the airing cupboard...
