    Have you still got mains power going through to the controller box that then sends power/signal to the valve motor? Does the valve motor work (usually contained in a small metal box connected to the pipework via a brass fitting). You can remove the top of the case and watch the servo...

    Does your thermostat 'click' when the water requires heating? If it does then it's probably working ok. Can you get to the elements? If so are they heavily scaled with limescale? I'm not a boiler engineer but those were my inital thoughts fella. Rob.

    No immersion heater here matey! Have to make sure there's plenty on water in the tank before bathing kids etc. Going to fit an electric power shower b4 winter starts tho. :wink:

    Well, I've sorted the problem out now so it doesn't matter that nobody replied. :cry: For those who have similar problems, check the valve motor head is working. I replaced it and boiler lights every time now. 8) Rob.
