    i replace the element & themostat, as they usually both come together anyway. Originally i thought it was the build-up of scale ( due to hard water) but as they still 'go' ( even though i'm using better quality elements) i'm thinking its more to do with the electrical side??

    Nope, they can't touch inside the tank, besides the 'failing elements' the system in 4-5 years old & works fine.............. my only problem is the consistently failing elements

    GEC Nightstor (no it shouldn`t have an "e" on the

    I am changing my current GEC Nightstor 80 to a LPG boiler, can anyone tell me the 'modern' equivalent in kW i need to heat my house?? Also does anyone want it??? rob
