Thanks I don't think I ever had one. It's been working fine and started dumping water again at end of dryer cycle, surely the inlet valve can't have failed already? Back to drying with the water switched off for now.

Update, replaced valve and all sorted. Working better than it has for years, must of been slowly filling and increasing over time which was hindering drying. Re wire mesh there was none on replacement part and don't think there ever was, must of been looking at another model on youtube.

It's a metal mesh between hose and valve, pretty certain not part of hose but unsure if comes with valve. I'll replace valve and see how I get on.

Thanks, I ran it with the water off and it dried a lot quicker than it has for years. This is leading me to think the inlet valve has been slowly failing for some time. I'll drop this in tomorrow but is this likely to be an issue given there's no other issue when draining other than drying?

It spins properly on all cycles. There is a tap connection which is easy to switch off. It's a condenser dryer, should it be ran dry?
