Hi, when I changed the ballcock I just turned off hot and cold water main taps ...and then just turned water back on after...should I have done something else as well...good to know for future.

Pilot works fine but main burner as you put it wasn't kicking in until I adjusted the grudfos ...not sure exactly what that does

Hi.. It's not a combi.. .update....I adjusted a setting on the Grundfos super selectric 15-60 which was sitting next to the boiler....I went from a speed 1 to 2 for about 5 seconds and then the boiler fired up and the heating came on. I turned it back to 1 and that was about an hour ago...

This is my first time posting and my first week of any plumbing DIY. I got motivated by reading some of the threads and this week fixed my overflow by changing the ballcock but I think I may have messed up on my last adventure. I attempted to fix a leak on towel radiator in downstairs...
