    Air in pipes?

    is the noise there if you only flush the toilet and not run the shower after.... If so it sounds like water hammer. Check the float valves in the toilet for wear

    I did the train 4 trade skills course and found it very good. The staff and tuition at ATL (the practical part of the course) were fantastic. But like any course you have to work at it to get something out of it.. So don't just belive you take the course and that is it you are a plumber...

    overflow

    Float valve in cistern passing. Over night when no water is used it allows the level of the water to reach the overflow. When you open the tap the water level drops and it stops overflowing. The float valve needs to be repaired or replaced..

    high pressure

    sounds like that the filling loop is passing water when it is turned off. Try filling the system to the correct pressure and disconnect the filling loop and see if the pressure increases then.

    Hi all. I am going to fit a new bath tap one with a shower head combined. Just need to know if i need to fit a double check valve to both cold and hot supplies. The cold is mains pressure and the hot supply is gravity fed. many thanks.

    Hi all I am going to fit a new bath tap one with a shower head combined. Wanting to know if i have to fit a double check valve on both hot and cold supply to said tap. The cold supply is mains pressure and the hot supply is gravity fed. Many thanks.

    CONFUSED

    I had the same problem. But found it in the end. Try looking under the kitchen sink. Around where the washing machine hoses connect to the service valves. Regards Glyn
