No water coming from kitchen hot tap... :(

Thanks terry, our washing machine only uses cold water so no hot feed... The plumbers assured me they did not close any valves. When I took the spout off the tap and tried to force water back through it, the remaining water kind of bobbed up and down for a bit before settling as if there was...

No water coming from kitchen hot tap... :(

Hi terryplumb, yes the plumbers were back yesterday. They said they reversed everything they did to stop the water so they cannot understand how or why water has not returned to the kitchen. The image link is...

No water coming from kitchen hot tap... :(

Sorry for the late replies, I did not receive any email updates so I thought there weren't any! the bathtub has hot water, the basin does not because it has not yet been fully fitted in place. The only other tap with hot water is the kitchen one as the downstairs cloakroom has only cold water...

No water coming from kitchen hot tap... :(

Thank you both for your responses. I tried blocking up the outlet and forcing the water back but the water just went everywhere! I think the tap is one of those that doesn't allow back flow of water or maybe a valve has indeed been left closed that isn't allowing water through. The plumbers...

No water coming from kitchen hot tap... :(

Hello Everyone! About a week ago, our plumbers began work on a total refit of the bathroom. They discovered that both the internal water stop valves (kitchen and loft) were damaged. We tried to locate the outside valve but could not find one. So we called in the water company to show us where...

Please help me understand the central heating :)

Hi MeldrewsMate, the constant hot water is due to the actuator valve being stuck in the B position. It will need replacing as both heating and hot water have this problem

Please help me understand the central heating :)

I suspected that he had not done anything and him recently being MIA made me more suspicious... So I had it checked by a plumber who said they were exactly the same and I could place the new one straight on top. The radiators are working now, turns out the TRVs were stuck, once they were freed...

Please help me understand the central heating :)

Hi dilalio, any suggestions? Also, I just noticed this about the boiler...it is selected to "gravity". The timer (previous and present) was set to fully pumped and I thought the red item in the image above is the pump?

Thanks everyone for your responses! Sorry for the delayed reply, I was working :) I turned the thermostat down to 60 so hopefully this will help :) I tried getting in contact with the original electrician and still nothing from him. Turns out the backplate of the new programmer is standard so...

Ok, so I managed to take some photos of the water cylinder set up, any of these responsible for the perpetual hot water?

Thank you madrab and stem, much appreciated. I bought a Drayton universal programmer today and hopefully it will do the job. I looked at the diagrams and they matched so I went for it. Do I need a plumber or electrician to install it? I'm not so sure about calling out the original gentleman...
