Hi I have a`Potterton Profile 80E boiler, about a week ago I noticed my boiler would make a clicking sound about 20 - 30 mins after start up it would make a clicking noise and when looking at the flame it looks as if it's going out.
Now every day I start the boiler up the same thing happens...
I got the figure by using a btu to kwh formula.
With regards to reply are you saying that my boiler is probably the near max for the rad's I have, also as the boiler stat is set to 3, the boiler stat is incorrectly configured?

I have 11 rads in total 8 of the are double skinned wth two large double skinned ones in reception rooms (the ones that only heat half way

So putting up the bolier themostat may resolve the issue with the collder last two rads which only heat half way?

I checked the air vent with the water cup method and it appears no air is being sucked in.
The rads that only heat half way are the furthest away from the pump and the largest
I have flushed the system and tried to balance the system with x400 however this did not resolve the issue...
I'm confused the air does not appear to be coming from the air vent in the loft. I've had it tested and no air is coming down. There appear to no leaks anywhere. Just can't figure where the air may be coming from. Any ideas chaps?
