I want to put up shelves in an alcove in my flat (old Glasgow tenement, red sandstone, large ashlar blocks externally, walls papered inside). Before fixing anything I'm trying to work out what the alcove wall is made of. What I've observed:
- Knocking on it, it doesn't feel like brick, but...
We are trying to paint our kitchen cabinets. We have watched a few videos on youtube and the foam roller seems to be the most popular recommendation.
However, we are not getting very good results. See pictures.
- We have thoroughly sanded the cabinet. It's very smooth.

A couple of the feet of the washing machine in the title are loose. I cannot screw them back in.
This is the actual appliance.
I think i need to remove the front panel to check what happened inside, but I can't find anything online.
Do you have any suggestion?
Thanks!

We need to run a gas pipe over a couple of doors in the hallway. It will be a couple of meters.
Can you suggest any decent, decorative cover? Maybe something that looks like a moulding.
Or maybe any other suggestion to hide them?
Thanks!

Fantastic idea. I will give it a go.
I need to buy a new temperature sensor. Copper has low emissivity and the infrared thermometer gives false readings
