Engineer arrived and cleaned boiler properly, measured flue levels and found they were only slightly out and corrected with a small adjustment. Just goes to show, not all engineers are created equal.

I shall hopefully have some answers tomorrow as I have booked an engineer who I have used before and know he is properly certified.

I was holding the ladder at the time, so was unable to see the actual reading but was certain that is right. The engineer did seem a little confused by this figure so I hope he knows what he is doing.
