Just to finish off, here's the end result. I sacrificed another tile to dig out the pipe & that gave me enough flex to get a coupling on. Used a JG cutter & it was perfect. Thanks for the advice everyone.
Can chisel out enough to get a cutter in I think. If i have to remove more tiles to get enough flex on the pipe in order to fit a coupler that can be done too though I'd rather not obviously. It was literally the last job, refitting the shelf.
Right at the end of a big tiling job & I've drilled through the speedfit. The repair is easy enough but how do I cut the pipe? Way too right for a cutter?
The leak is from the cistern outlet into the flush pipe. Specifically, the cistern connects to the flush pipe by a push fit arrangement that is sealed by two o-rings fitted into grooves on the cistern outlet. The flush pipe pushes over this. That is the source of the leak.

Continually, so I guess the drain valve isn't sealing either. However, I could live with water draining continually into the pan, what I can't take is it seeping out of the cistern onto the floor.
