well i am sorry you all think its at a wind up I am 5 foot 1 blonde and 8 stone
if it has a bearing which I dont see the relevance
I thought this was a good forum but I think now that a lot of you are sexist prats but not all.
I used to work in Industrial products selling plumbing products...
I agree it was a risk buying a used boiler but I trusted all the engineers as they were all gas safe. How can I tell they are dodgy till they start work?
Right are you ready for a laugh!
So the new boiler came and the guy who removed the old one was then in hospital with shingles so had to look again for another registered engineer. Found one who came with his lad and fitted it 3 weeks ago but couldnt do the electrics so had to get another guy...
Will do thanks, old boiler is now out, new (hopefully good!) engineer said the pump was leaking and was probably the problem all along. Due to a delivery mess up boiler will be here monday so fingers crossed
Thanks all will keep you posted :)
I have got a pump included in the price of the boiler as I realise that needs changing too. Engineer 3 didnt break anything but was the one who did me the back to front quote for installation
I will NOT be using the crazy guy with the cable quote I am still searching for a NORMAL engineer to...
I assure you this is most definitely not a wind up, yes it is a farce but unfortunately that is how things have developed. I only know what I know as I have been reading non stop online to try and find a solution as I am freezing and skint!
Yes 2nd hand, no choice really
No confidence in him after quoting £280 for combi and £500 for system doesnt make sense to me and I am absolutely ignorant on these matters
Thank you all for all your help, I have just bought a Glow worm 18hxi and will keep my fingers crossed.
Now just need to find a fitter who actually knows what they are doing :?
