I have 3 bath plugs as per title dating from 1915. They all leak from the bottom, I intend to replace the non working seal which seems to be made from a spongy but not quite rubbery mixture. What should i use? Also is there a technincal name for these plugs: c. 20 inches hig hollow steeel...
thanks for all your comments; obviously these elctronic transformers are more delicate than i had realised. Rather than the old "its either working or it isn't" there seems to be middle ground..All is working now, with new transformers.
Thanks steve, yes i read that output is 44khz vs normal 50hz. So that makes sense why i got no reading and perhaps why i picked up both were live with neon as that is a load? I will try changing both transformers just in case there was a systematic problem with the location that has damaged them.
Voltage on out put minimal <1v; i am no electrician obviously! but i always thought potential was difference between two voltages, one is normally zero, but does not have to be
