i am adding a new washing machine to an existing kitchen, would it be ok to take a spur from the ring main with a socket located behind the appliance or does the appliance need to be added to the ring main? thanks

hi, i have a down stairs electric shower, i am wanting to move the shower up stairs. would it be ok to join the cable under the floor boards to extend the cable to reach the new location? if so what would be the correct and safe means to do so?
